 On the 16th December Heinzmann GmbH acquired RE from the MAN Group. This change of ownership marks the first time in the 50 plus years of RE’s history when it has not been owned by an engine building business.
For RE and its customers this change has benefits. RE retains the wide range of experience that comes from having grown out of an engine business whilst gaining strength from joining a World Leader in the design and build of advanced engine management and controls.
 The RE range of governors and controls compliment the wide range of equipment made by Heinzmann at their factory in Schönau Germany.
RE has over 50 years of experience in creating innovative solutions for the control of engines, ships, locomotives and power stations. Heinzmann can claim over 100 years.
As part of the Heinzmann Group RE is well placed to serve its customers from an independent and strong base.
